12x3+2x2−30x−512x3+2x2-30x-5
Group the first two terms and the last two terms.(12x3+2x2)+(−30x−5)(12x3+2x2)+(-30x-5)

Factor out the greatest common factor (GCF) from each group.2x2(6x+1)−5(6x+1)2x2(6x+1)-5(6x+1)
Factor the polynomial by factoring out the greatest common factor, 6x+16x+1.(6x+1)(2x2−5)(6x+1)(2x2-5)

[tex] {12x}^{3} + {2x}^{2} - 30x - 5 \\ = 2 {x}^{2} (6x + 1) - 5(6x + 1) \\ = (6x + 1)( {2x}^{2} - 5)[/tex]

Hope this helps. - M
