As long as they have the same base of x, when we multiply exponents, we have to actually add the exponents.

=(x^4/3)(x^2/3)
add exponents
=x^(4/3 + 2/3)
=x^6/3
reduce exponent 6 ÷ 3
=x^2

ANSWER: x^2

Hope this helps! :)
