Apply the formula :

[tex] sin(90 - x) = cos(x) [/tex]

We are given :

sin(x+16)°=cos(2x+14)°

So comparing we have,

[tex] 90 - (x+16) = 2x +14 [/tex]

distributing - over the bracket

[tex] 90 - x-16 = 2x +14 [/tex]

bringing like terms together,

[tex] 90 - 14-16 = 2x +x [/tex]

[tex] 60=3x [/tex]

Dividing both sides by 3,

x =20

Answer : x=20
