The standard form of a polynomial is [tex]ax^2+bx+c[/tex]. Muliplying the parantheses out we get

[tex]x^2-x-12[/tex]

Hello!
To get from factored form to standard form just use the FOIL process. First, Outside, inside, Last.

So we have

(x+3)(x-4) so by foil we get, x2-4x+3x-12 and now combining like terms we have

x^2-x-12
