i don't see why not animals are just like humans but don't have the brain of 100% knowledge you can say they have 2% although humans only use 25% of their brain ( Albert Einstein ).BUT they so have the ability to have emotions , they feel sometime happy when they see a toy , mad when you pet them too much ...etc
