A train travels 51 kilometers in 2 hours, and then 53 kilometers in 5 hours. What is its average speed?

Total distance = (51km + 53km) = 104 km

Total time  =  (2hrs + 5hrs)  =  7 hours

Average speed = (total distance covered) / (time to cover the distance)

                         =       (104 km) / (7 hrs)  =  14.86 km/hr .
