use el when taslking about a guy and ella when talking about a girl. so here is an example El grande

To describe a person in spanish you can use su or sus meaning his or her example; su favorita clase es español or you can use a el le gusta or a ella le gusta (she/he likes) to show their dislikes and likes. You can also descibe how they look like ella/el es bajo/baja.
