The formula for the volume of a sphere is [tex] \frac{4}{3} \pi r^3[/tex], therefore, if the radius is doubled, than we must multiply 2r ^3 which is 8r^3, compared to just the r^3 before. Therefore, our answer is that the volume increases by a factor of 8.
