Solve and please show steps. I keep getting lost

The given expression can be solved as follows:
5(3x-8)+11 = 2-2x+3(x-4)
15x - 40 + 11 = 2 - 2x + 3x - 12
15x -29 = -10 + x
15x - x = -10 + 29
14x = 19
x = 19/14
