On the ninth night of Las Posadas, the conclusion of the celebration takes place. This is supposed to represent the ninth month of Mary's pregnancy, when she gives birth to Jesus, after finding refuge in a stable. During this conclusion, the children open pinatas, which are filled with candies and toys. This marks the end of Las Posadas, and the birth of Jesus. Las Posadas is primarily celebrated by Latinas and Spaniards.
