Six rectangles each with a common base width of 2 have lengths of 1,4,9,16,25 , and 36 . What is the sum of the areas of the six rectangles?

To find the area of a rectangle, you multiply the length by the width. 

2*1=2

2*4=8

2*9=18

2*16=32

2*25=50

36*2=72

Now that we have all of the areas of the rectangles, we just need to add them all together. 

2+8+18+32+50+72=182

Therefore, the sum of the areas of the six rectangles is 182 (units).
