Plug it in to the slop equation:

m= (y2-y1)-(x2-x1)

Plug the points in:

4-(-1)/ -5-(-3)

Correct the signs. Two positive equal a negative.

4+1/ -5+3

5/-2

Or, -2.5

I hope this helps!
