This problem involve Newton's second law motion

F = ma;  Given:  Force F = 74.4 N;  Mass m = 12 Kg

Unknown is acceleration a = ?

Therefore a = F/m  a = 74.4 Kg m/s²/12 Kg   Cancel Kg

a = 6.2 m/s²
