6x + 5 = 5x + 8 + 2x

6(-5) + 5 = 5(-5) + 8 +2(-5)

-30 + 5 = -25 + 8 + -10

-25 = -27

The correct answer would be, no, -5 IS NOT a solution to the equation

I hope this helps!
