To find the width you must subtract 2 7/8 from the length.

4 5/8
- 2 7/8
=
3 13/8
- 2 7/8
=
1 6/8
=
1 3/4 feet

If the width is 2 7/8 feet shorter than 4 5/8 feet, then you can just subtract the two

So you would write (4 5/8) - (2 7/8)

The answer would be 1 6/8 ft
I’m sure that’s it. Let me know if you need to learn how to subtract the two
Hope this helps, love
