Unemployment among those with disabilities still rates as the highest for any minority group. This includes those who have served in military positions and returned with disabling injuries. The ADA had been passed as a way of leveling the field to assist those who have such disabilities in their pursuit of employment and financial security, but there are still steps that need to be taken.
