If x is not equal to zero, what is the value of 4(3x)^2/ (2x)^2

we can write it like this:

[tex] \frac{4*(3x)*(3x)}{(2x)(2x)} [/tex]

if x isn't 0, we can divide both sides by x:

[tex] \frac{4*(3x)*(3)}{(2x)(2)} [/tex]

and again


[tex] \frac{4*(3)*(3)}{(2)(2)} [/tex]


and now we can calcuate

[tex] \frac{4*9)}{4} [/tex]

and divide both sides by 4.

We're left with 9!!


so the solution is 9!
