The height of a triangle is one-third of its base. If the height is 9 ft, what is the area of the triangle?

The height is 1/3 of its base. So, 9 = 1/3 of the base. So, the base is 27. 

We know that the formula for area of a triangle is 1/2(b)(h) 

So, 1/2(27)(9) = 121.5 

So, the area of the triangle is 121.5
