The value of x so that the function is equal to -2

Given the following function

m(x) = 4x + 15

m(x) = 7

Since both of them are m(x), hence;

4x + 15 = 7

Subtract 15 from both sides

4x + 15 - 15 = 7 - 15

4x = -8

Divide both sides by 4

4x/4 = -8/4

x = -2

Hence the value of x so that the function is equal to -2
