What did democritus and aristole think about the composition of matter

Both Aristotle and Democritus had conflicting opinion in regards to the consumption of matter. Aristotle opposed Democritus's theory instead he believed that since matter was made of very tiny particles A.K.A atoms. That they were ultimately water,fire, air and earth.
