Why won't a fat–soluble vitamin dissolve in water?

Fat won't dissolve in water due to the fact that fat is a lipid. Lipids do not have charge, as they are non polar. Water does have charge thus they do not attract one another. Like things dissolve in like things. (Hope this helps.)
