Given f(x) = x + 9 and g(x) = 5x, what is f(3) + g(-3)?

f(3) = 3 + 9 = 12 (just substitute the value of x in f(x)) 

g(-3) = 5 x -3 = -15

f(3) + g(-3) = -15 + 12 = -3 (A)
