Unless you have another equation, the most you can do to this equation is simplify. 18x + 12y = 216.
The Greatest common factor of all the coefficients is 3.
18/3 = 6. 12/3 = 4, 216/3 = 42. A simplified whole-number answer would be 6x + 4y = 42. Now you double check. It looks like They can simplify by 2. See? Good to double-check :) The GCF is actually 6. So the final simplified answer would be 3x + 2y = 21.

Hope that helps!
