The wellspring of contention amongst Garibaldi and Cavour is that Cavour expected that Garibaldi would set up an opponent country in the South. Cavour made a cooperation with Napoleon if there should be an occurrence of war with Austria, then he incited that war. Sardinia won the war, and other northern states likewise rebelled against Austria and after that joined Sardinia.
