[tex] \frac{1}{3} [/tex] can be multiplied by 2 (just multiply the top number and the bottom number separately).

[tex] \frac{1}{3} [/tex] x2 =[tex] \frac{2}{6} [/tex].

Since you multiplied both the top and bottom number, 1/3 and 2/6 are the exact same amount!
