Signing bills into laws / vetoing bills so they cannot become laws. Keeping track of how laws are affecting people. Possibly meeting leaders of other country to arrange trade deals. Addressing the country about current rising issues (ex: an act of terrorism happened so the President addresses the issue on TV)
