Akbar I was a Mughal emperor who reigned from 1556 to 1605. Akbar is considered responsible for reuniting the Mughal Empire and expanding it into Central India. Akbar was considered to be an extremely successful general as well, as his empire grew to include almost the whole of the Indian subcontinent.
