How long can you wait to get a tetanus shot?

Tetanus causing bacteria can take 3 days to fully grow. (But if you got cut by something and you're asking for yourself i'd recommend going ahead to get one.) But a tetanus vaccine should be administered every ten years to make sure the person has that extra protection against it.
