So we can either use the substitution method for x or y.
Let’s do x
To isolate x in equation 2, we subtract y from both sides to get
X=-12-y
Now we know what x is in terms of y and an integer.
Plug back in
2(-12-y)-3y=6
-24-2y-3y=6
-24-5y=6
-5y=30
y=-6
We have the value of y now.
Let’s substitute it into the second equation.
X-6=-12
X=-6
So the solution is
(-6,-6)
