Rationalizing the divisor suggests that you get eliminate the novel within the divisor. 

 According to the rules of radicals, we can rewrite this as √(5x) / √(2y)

Next we will multiply the expression by √(2y) / √(2y).  Notice this gives you 1 and when you multiply this by the original expression, it does not change the original problem

On multiplying we get-

[√(3x) * √(2y)] / [√(2y) * √(2y)]

[√6xy)] / 2y
