The area of the composite figure involving rectangle and trapezium is 810.5cm².

How to calculate the area?

The area can be found by adding the area of the rectangle and trapezium. This goes thus:

Area of rectangle = Length × Width = 15 × 23 = 345cm²

Area of trapezium = 1/2(a + b)h

= 1/2(15 + 34) × 19

= 1/2 × 49 × 19

= 465.5cm²

The area will now be:

= 345cm² + 465.5cm²

= 810.5cm²
