1 pound = 16 ounces.

sal

Bought 5 at 5 ounces each for a total

Weight of 25 ounces which is 1.4625 pounds

He paid 0.49 per pound:

1.5625 x 0.49 = 0.765 total round to $0.77

Sal spent $0.77 on the 5 bananas which is less than what Brianna spent so Sal for the better buy
