The type of language found in song lyrics is called figurative language this language includes metaphors, similes, repetition, personification, hyperbole and among others. Most of the songs include at least one of them and if not all. And example of a song that has hyperbole in it(exaggeration) is A thousand years by Christina Perri. And also Grenade by Bruno Mars.
