Answer:

slope = -3/4

using the formula

y -y1 = m(x -x1)

y -1 = -3/4(x -(-8))

y -1 = -3/4(x +8)

cross multiply

4(y -1) = -3(x +8)

4y -4 = -3x -24

4y = -3x -24 +4

4y = -3x -20

divide both sides by 4

y = -3/4 x -5 (equation of the line)
