The length of a rectangle is 10 meters more than its width. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 80 meters, find the dimensions of the rectangle?

Answer:

2W + 2(10 + W) = 80

2W + 20 + 2W = 80

4W + 20 = 80

       -20.   -20

4W = 60

/4      /4

W = 15 meters
