Helen Keller offered a different perspective of living life by demonstrating that she was able to have a creative personality all while being blind.  Her struggles represent the amount of hard work that went into who she is today.  People look up to her for that.

She went on to acquire an excellent education and to become an important influence on the treatment of the blind and deaf.
