The x-intercepts exist where y is equal to 0...which is ON the x-axis. Hence, the name "x-intercept". These are caled zeros, solutions, and roots. This parabola goes through the x-axis at x = 0 and x = 4. It is at both of these locations where the y-coordinate is 0.
