What is the molarity of a solution containing 52.6g of NaOH dissolved in 2.5L of water?

Answer:

Molarity = no of moles of solute/volume of solution in litre

number of moles =given mass/molar mass

moles= 50.6/40 = 1.315 moles

now,

molarity = 1.315/2.5= 0.526M
