1. A line contains the points (42, 60) and (−60, 43). What is the slope of the line in simplified form?

slope is determined by your rise over your run or the equation (y2-y2)/(x2-x1)

putting in the given points gives you (43-60)/(-60-42)

this gives you -17/-102  negative divided by negative give you a positive.

both divide by 17 giving you a slope of 1/6
