Well a lot of them starved,because they didn't know how to plant food, and it turned into winter so they had a bad winter, and a lot of them who came over into Jamestown didn't want to work until John Smith said if you didn't work you didn't get to eat (horrible isn't it) but they started working so they started grow into a wonderful town.
