The equation is y=mx+b.

My question is, is ‘b’ supposed to be in decimal form or in fraction form??

Answer: both ways are acceptable

Step-by-step explanation: When writing equations of lines in this form,

we usually keep the "b" value or the constant term as a fraction.

However, if you prefer decimals, you can absolutely change

it to a decimal to visualize is better if you'd like, it's really your choice.

For example, if the equation of a line was y = -3/4x - 7/4, I could leave

it how it is or I could change the -7/4 to -1.75 giving me y = -3/4x - 1.75.
