D=Vi*t+1/2a*t^2

D=(8)(40)+(.5)(9.8)(40^2)​

D=(8)(40)+(.5)(9.8)(1600)

D=(320)+(.5)(9.8)(1600)

D=(320)+(4.9)(1600)

D=(320)+7840

D=8180meters.
