The main effects of the Punic War on the Roman Republic are first, it gave full control of Corsica and Sicily to the Rome. Because of this full control, the Roman Republic greatly benefited from conquering Sicily. They were able to use Sicily's minerals and natural resources which helped Rome gain profits
