John Scopes was a teacher who lived in Prohibition Era and charged with violations of the Bootlegger Act during that time and his case became popular as Scopes Trial in 1925. This trial is also known as Monkey Trial, the latter name is being more popular and the trial was specifically important from the perspective of scientific evidence for the theory of evolution.
