Without the carbon-oxygen cycle, living things (humans, animals, plants, etc) can't survive.

Explanation:

They can't survive because humans breathe in oxygen and exhale carbon and plants need carbon to live and humans and animals need oxygen which plants exhale, so there wouldn't really be life on earth if the carbon-oxygen cycle didn't exist.
