The formula for the energy of motion is KE = .5 × m × v2

where KE is kinetic energy in joules,

m is mass in kilograms and

v is velocity in meters per second.

So in the above question

m=2.10kg

v=12.2m/s

KE=.5*2.10*(12.2)^2

K.E=.5*2.10*148.84

K.E=156.282 joules
