you use ir+a when you’re going somewhere. Example; Voy ir a = I’m going to

you use the “ir + a + infinitive” formula when you are trying to say what you are GOING to the do. you only use this in the future tense. for instance “yo voy a viajar Spain” means “I am traveling to Spain”. use this formula when you are referring to compound future. you never conjugate this verb, KEEP IT IN THE INFINITIVE FORM! ALWAYS!
