Answer:

You need to isolate X on one side.

Step 1: subtract 6 in order to move it to the other side and isolate x:

-x+ 6 = 7

   -6      -6

-x = 7 - 6

Step 2: simplify.

-x = 7-6

-x = 1

Step 3: divide both sides to make x positive.

-x/-1 = 1/-1

x = -1

(aka make x positive and everything else negative

the answer is x = - 1

well first, you want to get x by itself so you would do...
-x+6=7
-6=-6
-x=1
you can’t have a -x so what you will have to divide 1 divided by -x
so...
x=-1
