[tex] \frac{3 (2x + 14)}{w - y} [/tex]
[tex]w = 8, x = 5, y = 1[/tex]

You have to first substitute every variable into its spot in the equation.

[tex] \frac{3 (2x + 14)}{w-y} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{3 (2*5 + 14)}{8 - 1} [/tex]

Then solve.

[tex] \frac{3 (28)}{7} = \frac{84}{7} = 12[/tex]
