Jeff has 1/2 pizza left in the fridge. At breakfast he at 1/3 of it. What fraction of the original pizza does he have left for lunch

If Jeff starts with 1/2 of a pizza then eats 1/3 of it he has 2/3 of 1/2 left. Therefore if you multiply those together you get your answer.

(2/3)*(1/2)=2/6=1/3
Jeff has 1/3 of the pizza left
